Trump Guns

President Trump voiced support for arming teachers and other school staff to prevent school shootings as well as raising the minimum age for gun purchases, boosting background checks and detaining potentially dangerous people in mental institutions if they cannot be held by police.

His comments came at a White House listening session to address school shootings after last week’s massacre at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 people — 14 of them students — dead.
