LAS VEGAS – For the second time in a matter of days, police investigated an anti-Semitic act of vandalism. The incident Monday happened at a Jewish family’s apartment door near S. Decatur Boulevard and W. Sahara Avenue.
Last Thursday, a home in Summerlin was also vandalized with swastikas. But, unlike last week’s incident, Sara Attia and her family believe they were targeted because of their religious beliefs.
Attia said she noticed the graffiti Monday morning as she walked to grab something from her car. A swastika and the words “Hell Hitler” were spray painted on her door. The statement was incorrectly quoted because it said “Hell Hitler” instead of “Heil Hitler.”
According to Attia, this is too much of a coincidence to be a random crime. She said she lives on the second floor and her stairwell only leads to her unit.
The mother of three was home with her young children at the time of the crime, but she said she didn’t see or hear anything.
